LA Express

 

The Los Angeles LA EXPRESS Women’s Elite Travel Lacrosse Team is a competitive lacrosse team comprised of high school lacrosse players from the Los Angeles area.  Players will compete against the top teams in the nation through travel games and tournament play.  A large dedication of time and energy will be expected from each player in the form of weekly practices, games, team activities, travel and fundraising.  LA EXPRESS will have both an “A” and “B” team, if chosen to be a member of either team; each player will be required to pay an $1150.00 membership fee, which includes:

Top rate coaching/exposure to college recruiters
Practice Field Fees

** Travel costs/accommodations are not included (Fundraisers are options for extra travel costs); three overnight trips are on schedule including one East Coast College Showcase Tournament. Full membership fee is due before at sign up and before first tournament.

WHO:                          Tryouts are open to all female lacrosse players currently enrolled in grades 8-12 at any school in the Los Angeles area.  Tryout participants must be a member of US Lacrosse.

WHAT:                         Tryouts are being held in an effort to determine the team members.  Players will be asked to go through a process of drills including basic stick skills, speed and endurance testing, and shooting ability, in addition to many others.  There is an application to $40 to cover field charges.

WHEN:                         Tryouts will be held from 10am-1pm on Saturday May 22nd .  Team selection will be announced between 1pm-2pm directly after the tryouts explaining further guidelines, rules and regulations in the form of waivers, contracts and agreements between the LA Express coaches, organizers and players, including season practice/game schedule.
