JULIET MITTLEMANN:

A native of Long Island, NY, Coach Mittlemann has been playing lacrosse since her freshman year at The Loomis Chaffee High School in Windsor, CT. Coach Mittlemann continued to play lacrosse while she was attending Brown University, where she was also granted the opportunity to coach a local high school team in Rhode Island, Barrington High School, for her remaining 3 years at Brown. Her love for the game, both as a competitor and as an educator, has been a constant and integral part of Coach Mittlemann's life. After graduating from Brown University in June of 2004, Coach Mittlemann moved to Santa Monica, CA to become an English and Math teacher at Le Lycee Francais de Los Angeles. Upon her arrival to California, Coach Mittlemann made it an immediate priority to become involved in the lacrosse community of Los Angeles. Quickly, she found her place as Director and Head Coach of the Youth Girl's Lacrosse Program of Los Angeles Lacrosse League. She continued her involvement in the community with lacrosse camps, clinics, and private lessons. In the winter of 2005, Coach Mittlemann became the Assistant Coach of the inaugural Girl's Varsity Lacrosse Team at Pacific Palisades Charter High School, where she became head coach the following year.  Simultaneously, Coach Mittlemann was asked to assist the Women's Lacrosse Program at Pepperdine University. That summer, Coach Mittlemann was also asked to be the assistant coach for the 2007 women's elite lacrosse travel team, Team USA California. The team traveled to Japan to compete in the 2007 International Friendship Games, playing different teams from the cities of Osaka, Nagoya, and Kyoto. After the 2007 season as Assistant Coach at Pepperdine University, Coach Mittlemann became the Co-Head Coach of the Women's Lacrosse Program. That following summer, she was asked again to coach the 2008 Team USA California, which traveled and competed in both China, the 2008 Beijing Games, and in Japan, Tokyo and Sapporo, the 2008 International Friendship Games.

After the 2008 season at Pepperdine University, Coach Mittlemann decided to narrow down her focus and commit more of her time to broadening and developing the availability and possibility of women's lacrosse, at any and every level, throughout Southern California. Coach Mittlemann has stayed on as the Head Coach of the Girl's Lacrosse Program at Palisades High for the past 5 seasons, and will continue to do so!

Brittain began coaching during the spring season of 2004, as head coach of the Malibu developmental lacrosse team. In 2008, she was asked to serve as head coach of the Agoura High School women's lacrosse team, which she has grown from a struggling start-up to a thriving full rostered team in just two seasons.
